Your shop shouldn't have to live in your head.
Most independent coffee shops don't start with an operating system. You build one piece by piece — recipes in a binder, training in someone's head, inventory in a spreadsheet, checklists on paper, SOPs in Google Drive, and questions flying through group texts.
Those tools work. They solve real problems with the resources you have. But as the team grows, they scatter — and you become the thing holding them together.
Daily Grind OS brings those systems into one place, so the shop doesn't depend on you remembering, explaining, checking, and fixing everything.
The same questions, every shift
Where's the recipe? How do we close? What's the price? Answers live in your head, so the questions keep coming back to you.
Standards drift between shifts
Training happens differently depending on who's working, so the same drink comes out differently depending on who makes it.
Everything depends on you
Counts, checklists, and coverage all run through the owner. That's a job, not a business that can grow or open a second location.
Six things that get easier the day you switch.
Training, recipes, SOPs, inventory, costs, scheduling, and reporting live together — so the shop runs the same way on the days you're not there.

Built during the morning rush.
Daily Grind OS wasn't built in a sleek office in Palo Alto. It was built on the back of receipts at 5:00 AM while waiting for the espresso machine to heat up — for the reality of busy rushes, new hires, inventory surprises, call-outs, and everything else that lands on an owner's plate.
We created the SOPs we needed to survive. We built the inventory tracking that stopped our cash leaks. We wrote the training path that stopped every new hire from learning a different version of the job.
"The difference between a cafe that stresses you out and a cafe that makes you proud is a system you can trust."
No two shops operate the same — your OS shouldn't either.
Two tools your bar will actually open every shift.

Your POS runs transactions. Daily Grind OS runs operations.
Your POS has one critical job during service: help your team take orders and complete customer transactions. Daily Grind OS has a different job. It manages the systems behind the shop — recipes, training, SOPs, inventory, costs, schedules, and team operations.

Primary job: run the operation.
Two different jobs. Intentionally separate.
That separation is intentional. Updating a recipe or training process shouldn't require touching the system ringing up the next customer. And when there's a line at the window, the last thing an owner needs is another tablet, printer, or customer-facing system to troubleshoot. Use the POS that works for your business. Daily Grind OS works alongside it — without becoming another dependency in the sale.
Bring your existing systems with you.
You've already built recipes, training, and SOPs that work for your shop. Daily Grind OS is built to fit around the work you've already done — not ask you to start over.
Bring in what you already use, organize it in one place, and pick up from there.

Built inside a real coffee shop.
Daily Grind OS was created from real-world coffee shop operations — training systems, SOPs, recipes, inventory processes, and staff workflows. Every part of it has been used on a real bar, on real shifts, with real teams.
Before Daily Grind OS, everything lived in different binders, notebooks, and text messages. Now our recipes, opening checklists, and training are all in one place. New employees know exactly where to find answers, and our managers spend far less time repeating themselves.
Training new baristas used to take weeks because everyone taught things a little differently. Daily Grind OS gave us one clear standard. New hires become confident faster, and every shift feels more consistent.
Having our recipes, SOPs, and daily checklists together has completely changed how we operate. Instead of hunting for information, our team can focus on serving customers. It keeps everyone on the same page.
Running a coffee shop is busy enough without answering the same questions every day. Daily Grind OS keeps our procedures organized so the team can find what they need on their own.
I spend less time explaining how to do things and more time coaching my team. Having everything documented has made training dramatically easier.
Consistency across locations was always difficult. Now every store follows the same recipes, standards, and checklists, which has made a noticeable difference in day-to-day operations.
Daily Grind OS feels like having an operations manual that's actually easy to use. Everything our team needs is available in one place, and that gives us confidence as we continue to grow.
Know exactly what needs attention each week.
Every Monday, your inbox gets a one-page operational summary — the same view you'd get from walking every location in person.
- Know exactly what inventory needs ordered
- Track operational consistency across shifts
- Monitor waste and sales trends week over week
- Keep remote oversight across every location
- Identify issues before they become expensive problems
Built behind the bar — not in a boardroom.
Daily Grind OS wasn't dreamed up by a software company trying to figure out coffee shops.
It grew out of the systems founder Karyl Fritsche built while operating Joe 2 Go, an independent coffee business in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.
Karyl opened Joe 2 Go in 2020 and built the operation from the ground up — from equipment and recipes to training and operating systems. She grew it from $0 to a six-figure business in under three years, expanded operations to include an offsite coffee trailer, and trained more than 150 employees before selling the business in 2026.
Along the way, she learned something every growing operator eventually discovers:
Working harder doesn't fix a broken system.
"I didn't build Daily Grind OS because I wanted to build software. I built it because I needed my coffee shop to run without me."

Daily Grind OS doesn't replace your POS. If you're looking for software to take customer orders, process payments, print receipts, or run the transaction at the register or drive-thru window, you'll still need a POS system. Daily Grind OS works alongside it — managing the recipes, training, SOPs, inventory, costs, scheduling, and team systems behind the sale.
